I did start my fallout 3 and click “start new game” , it always comes out “window encounter some problem …” and jump return to desktop!
and I find a way to deal with it !! May be it may help!!!
Do the following!!
if you use the old display card, do this
Games_for_Windows_LIVE_Disabl e-1086 and disable G4WL
use SHADER 7 instead SHADER 8
if you do not , go next
do with : fallout.ini
bUseFaceGenHeads to 0
iMaxDecalsPerFrame to 0
bUseRefractionShader to 0
bDoSpecularPass to 0
do with Falloutprefs.ini :
bUseFaceGenHeads to 0
iMaxDecalsPerFrame to 0
bUseRefractionShader to 0
bDoSpecularPass to 0
iSize W to 640
iSize H to 480
